Students at Black Hill Primary School will take part in a Bike Ed Challenge to put their riding skills to the test thanks to the Andrews Labor Government’s Community Road Safety Grants Program. The Andrews Labor Government will establish five new GP-led Priority Primary Care Centres to give Victorians the care they need while easing pressure on our busy emergency departments (EDs). A free fishing festival that celebrates the opening of trout season will return to Ballarat next month. Minister for Fishing and Boating Sonya Kilkenny said the BallaratFishing Festival will be held on Saturday 3 September from 9am to 3pm at Lake Wendouree, north of Windmill Drive.
My constituency question is for the Minister for Early Childhood and Pre-Prep regarding the introduction of 30 hours per week of fully funded universal pre-prep for all Victorian children from 2025. How will this transformation of Victoria’s early education system benefit parents, carers and children in Ballarat?

Congratulations to Ballarat’s extraordinary and impressive young people who were nominated for and won awards at the City of Ballarat Youth Awards 2022. The achievements of almost 100 young people aged between 12 and 25 were recognised by the City of Ballarat through the nomination process.

The action that I seek is for the minister to provide me with an update on how many households in the Wendouree electorate have applied for and benefited from the $250 power saving bonus.
The Andrews Labor Government has recruited hundreds of new paramedics this year – delivering another boost to our health system and helping our ambulance services meet the record levels of demand being seen Australia-wide. Minister for Health Mary-Anne Thomas today visited Wendouree Station to announce that more than 150 paramedics have already joined crews in regional Victoria this year – with more on the way.
