The Andrews Labor Government is boosting internet speeds for thousands of households and businesses with upgrades to fixed wireless networks underway.

My question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety and is about four very important intersection upgrades across Ballarat.

I am very pleased to rise to talk about the committee that I am on, the Legislative Assembly Economy and Infrastructure Committee, and talk about our inquiry into commonwealth support for Victoria.

I am delighted to contribute to this bill, the Justice Legislation Amendment (Fines Reform and Other Matters) Bill 2022, because this bill is important to contributing to the development of a fairer, more effective infringement system in this state, and I think that is what we all want.

My adjournment matter is for the Minister for Education, and the action I seek is for the minister to provide me with an update on what measures are being undertaken to keep our students safe and our schools open throughout term 1 in my electorate of Wendouree.

Congratulations to Headspace Ballarat and Western Victoria Primary Health Network on the launch of Share these Stories, an innovative and powerful anthology by authors who have lived experiences of mental health challenges.

I too am delighted to rise to speak on the government house amendment regarding regional public notices in the Regulatory Legislation Amendment (Reform) Bill 2021.

The Andrews Labor Government will refurbish Federation TAFE’s training restaurant and invest in Australia’s first apprenticeship for wind turbine blade technicians, under a raft of investments to provide better training options for Ballarat jobseekers.

I am delighted to be speaking and rising before you today. I am very, very pleased to be here to make a contribution and to support the Justice Legislation Amendment (Trial by Judge Alone and Other Matters) Bill 2022, a bill that supports our government’s response to COVID-19 by ensuring that the justice system continues to function not only safety but effectively during the ongoing pandemic.

I direct my adjournment to the Minister for Community Sport, and the action that I seek is for her to provide me with an update on the Victorian government’s investment in two very important community sports facilities in my electorate of Wendouree.

An innovative leadership program will encourage more women to represent their local communities as the Andrews Labor Government continues to support the advancement of women in local government.

The Andrews Labor Government today announced that a Local Adult and Older Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing Service will be established in Ballarat and its doors will be open from mid-2023.
