Forest Street Primary School $6.3 million upgrade celebrated
Today Juliana Addison, Member for Wendouree, visited Forest Street Primary School in Wendouree to celebrate the completion of an upgraded building for junior students and administration staff.
The Victorian Government has invested more than $6.3 million in funding at Forest Street Primary School to refurbish Block A, known as the F1-2 and Admin wing. This significant investment will ensure that every child can get a great education.
Forest Street Primary School is an inclusive and caring school community led by Principal Jillian Burt, with very hardworking teachers who seek to provide excellent teaching and learning experiences and opportunities.
The upgraded building has bright new classrooms, modern admin spaces, and a spacious library. The high-quality facilities provide flexible learning spaces, and the modern learning environments help to develop creative thinking, promote STEM literacy, and inspire learning for life – critical skills for future success.
The architect from Moreton and co Architects, Tim Perks, is a proud former Forest Street student, while local builders AW Nicholson delivered the project. This is just another example of how the Allan Labor Government is delivering the Education State, in addition to supporting local jobs.
The Victorian Government is investing record funding in our schools to make Victoria the Education State. In the past 10 years, the Victorian Government has invested $16.9 billion in building new schools and in more than 2,200 school upgrades.
