Wendouree Electorate – Constituency Question
Ms ADDISON (Wendouree) (14:46): My question is for the Minister for Roads and Road Safety and is about four very important intersection upgrades across Ballarat.
Will the minister please provide an update on the progress of the works on Dyson Drive–Ballarat-Carngham Road roundabout in Alfredton and the replacement of the roundabout with traffic lights at the very busy Wiltshire Lane–Glenelg Highway intersection in Delacombe? I would also like the minister to provide me with an update on the Hertford Street–Albert Street as well as the Docwra Street–Midland Highway traffic light and pedestrian upgrades in Sebastopol.
These four significant upgrades are part of the Keeping Ballarat Moving project, through which the Victorian government is investing more than $60 million to upgrade traffic hotspots. These congestion-busting projects will significantly improve the traffic flow at key intersections that connect Ballarat’s growing suburbs as well as enhance road safety for users and pedestrians.
I look forward to hearing from the minister about these key road projects.
