St Aloysius Primary School & UFS Respiratory Clinic: Members Statement
Ms ADDISON (Wendouree) (10:07): I want to send my very best wishes to the staff, students and families at St Aloysius primary school in Redan who have continued to quarantine after attending the Queen Victoria Market during a school camp last week.
This is a very difficult time for the 50 grade 5 and year 6 students and the staff members, and I want to thank them for getting tested and remaining in quarantine for 14 days after being identified as primary contacts of a confirmed COVID-19 case.
Thank you to school principal Michael Kennedy and the school leadership team, teachers and support staff. It has also been hard for parents, carers, brothers and sisters of these students and staff members who have been required to be tested and isolate.
I recognise that this has been very difficult for everyone impacted, and I thank them for getting tested and adhering to the quarantine requirements. I am pleased that there have been no confirmed cases linked to St Aloysius.
I am looking forward to visiting the school in the near future, and I thank the staff and students for their efforts during this very challenging time.
Ms ADDISON: I also want to thank UFS CEO Lynne McLennan and the healthcare workers at the UFS respiratory clinic for their ongoing work undertaking testing of the Ballarat community.
